Hi! I am Ke-Yu Wu, majoring in Communication and Technology at National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University.
I'm a
ProjectTwo years of UX/UI experience with 8 design projects completed.
Currently a UX designer/researcher intern at a startup (10 months), leading calendar interface and experience flow design. Applied AI-assisted design methods to shorten iteration cycles (2–3 weeks → 1 week) and reduce manual workload by 60%, improving product iteration efficiency.
Conduct research at the Everyday Creativity Lab in the DCAT graduate program, specializing in technology design for parent-child relationships and underprivileged communities.
Showcasing my design journey through different project categories
Led the experience design for the calendar feature at Mai.today, an AI-powered collaborative data management platform for Business and customer users. Conducted user research (need-finding and interviews) to identify key pain points in scheduling and order recording. Addressed users' needs for recording order forms within the calendar by integrating calendar and data management, eliminating the need to switch between platforms. Expanded from UX to UI design using AI-assisted tools, reducing manual handoff by 60% and accelerating product launch.
View Project →Collaborated with a professor on UX research for an on-campus AR navigation system at NYCU. Led usability testing and user interviews to identify core usability issues, focusing on improving environment recognition accuracy. Conducted heuristic evaluations and proposed design concepts based on findings, helping enhance the AR navigation experience for students and visitors.
View Project →I collaborated with a professor to develop an AR sculpture guide system at NYCU, using the NYCU AR App as the platform. We focused on enhancing emotional engagement and interaction in the campus sculpture tour. Through user research, we redesigned the psychological test from personality-based to life experience–oriented, and designed the entire experience flow for the exhibition. I led the planning and implementation of the project, including user flow and quiz redesign, Unity development, and successfully secured support by proposing the project to a foundation.
Developing...At a campus McDonald's during lunchtime peak hours, we observed low customer willingness to use the mobile app for ordering. To explore the influence of environmental factors on user behavior, we analyzed 100 recent negative App Store reviews and identified pain points, including complicated coupon redemption and membership point collection processes. We then conducted a contextual experiment with 10 users, studying their app usage under time pressure. Through surveys and interviews, we found that users perceived the point collection process as overly complex. We ultimately redesigned the membership system to streamline the experience and enhance app adoption.
Developing...To showcase my graduation project, "Cyberbullying – Immersive Experience", I created the official website aimed at promoting the event and providing a multifunctional information platform. The website included features such as event registration, team introduction, detailed event information, crowdfunding options, and integrated contact methods across multiple platforms, allowing interested individuals to easily learn about the event and contact us directly. This website not only increased the event's visibility but also enhanced the professionalism of the graduation project, helping it reach a broader audience and have a greater impact.
